We don’t need to create a ripple of kindness but a wave, a tsunami of kindness. We have all heard the phrase, In a world where you can be anything, be kind.

2020 to 2021 were some of the most challenging years of my working life, as I know they were for most people.

As a headteacher, I took a leadership approach, which comes from my belief that a leader in school or any walk of life is a servant to their team.

A big part of being a teacher or school leader is supporting our pupils and their personal development.

I wanted to share three types of kindness – spontaneous kindness…corporate, and collective kindness…sacrificial.

I’ve learnt since, sadly, that school life is not always kind to everyone. 

This is an entirely non-educational insight into the kindness of my community.

A word of caution: I accept that not everyone is kind online, and please protect your boundaries.
